This year’s Electric Picnic saw a host of international superstars and homegrown headliners top the bills in front of a crowd of 80,000 festivalgoers this past weekend at Co Laois’ Stradbally estate.

The festival is now an annual sell-out, oftentimes long in advance of any headline announcements in recent years — and here’s what we know about the run-up to Electric Picnic 2026.

When is Electric Picnic 2026 happening?

The festival has been confirmed for the weekend of Friday August 28 to Sunday August 30. Of course, the scramble for camping space this year may encourage even more people to pay extra to access the site on the Thursday.

Who’s playing?

While festival director Melvin Benn has kept cards close to his chest, he’s confirmed that two major headliners are in place for August of 2026. It’s likely tickets will be long sold out before any lineup announcements are made.

When are tickets on sale?

Advance ticket sales were released on Monday morning to members of Three+, the membership/loyalty programme of mobile network Three, a major sponsor of the festival.

The loyalty-scheme tickets sold out almost immediately.

Weekend passes, as well as early entry, and various family and camping packages, go live on Ticketmaster on Wednesday September 3 at 9am.

How much are tickets?

Various tiers of pricing will apply, from admissions to extra camping accommodations, but Benn has also confirmed that there will be no change on last year’s ticket pricing.

Expect a weekend camping ticket to cost in the region of €245.50 to €325.50, depending on whether you’re part of loyalty schemes, etc.

A weekend camper van pass is €140.50.

The early entry pass is €33.75 to €39.40.

How many people will be in attendance?

Having bumped capacity up from 75,000 to 80,000 attendees this year, Benn says they’ll maintain that number for next year’s event.
