Toronto police have identified the 67-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Scarborough on Tuesday night.

Police said they responded to an apartment building in the area of Kingston and Galloway roads just before 7 p.m.

When officers arrived, they located Robert Dawson with significant stab wounds. Despite life-saving measures, Dawson was pronounced dead at the scene.

He is the city’s 28th homicide victim of the year.

Police said they arrested a woman at the scene. In a news release on Wednesday, they identified her as Natasha MacCallum of no fixed address.

She has been charged with second-degree murder.

Police previously said Dawson and MacCallum knew each other but the exact nature of their relationship is unknown.

Homicide investigators have not disclosed a motive.
