The Government has responded to questions about the arrest of Father Ted creator Graham Linehan by English police, saying it extends consular services to citizens worldwide where appropriate.
It comes after the Taoiseach spoke to the mother of an Irish activist who was allegedly punched repeatedly by Berlin police at a Gaza protest.
