The U.S. Open has always been about big names and bigger moments on the court, but this week the spotlight briefly shifted to the stands.

According to The New York Post, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley was photographed kissing New York businessman Tim Sykes while taking in a match, confirming a new chapter in her already headline-grabbing summer.

Ashley, 30, attended Jannik Sinner’s showdown with Alexander Bublik at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens. Cameras caught her leaning in close to Sykes throughout the afternoon, and the two appeared relaxed and cheerful as they shared smiles, laughter, and the occasional kiss.

The actress kept her style understated but polished, pairing a cream Polo Ralph Lauren sweater with tailored white pants. Gold jewelry and sunglasses rounded out her look, striking a balance between casual and chic. Sykes coordinated with her energy, arriving in a crisp white button-down shirt, blue trousers, and a sweater draped neatly over his shoulders.

Sykes isn’t part of Hollywood, but he’s a recognizable figure in New York dining circles. He co-owns Ruby’s Café, a trendy spot downtown known for its laid-back atmosphere. His social media is set to private, but Ashley does follow him on Instagram—a small clue that their connection predates this public outing.

The sighting comes only weeks after Ashley’s name was linked to actor Joshua Jackson. The two were photographed walking hand-in-hand in New York City during a heatwave in August, which fueled speculation that they were seeing each other. That brief appearance marked the first and last time they were spotted together.

Before Jackson, Ashley had been in a long-term relationship with businessman Constantin “Tino” Klein. They dated for two years before splitting in February 2025. Around that time, she told People she was embracing her “single era,” focusing on herself and her work.
