Philly McMahon was no angel on the pitch. You would imagine that, even once in his Dublin career, he might have crossed some metaphorical line and moved the boss to anger.
“I never had a row with Jim Gavin. Never,” McMahon reiterates. “And I know, at times, I’m probably tough to manage or coach! And it’s because I’m driven, I want the best.
