A 19-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle crash in Co Cork this morning.
The incident, which was between a car and a truck, took place on the N71 between Ballinhassig and Innishannon in west Cork at around 7.15am.
The man who is understood to be from the west Cork area was driving the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaà said the road remains closed to facilitate a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
A garda spokesperson added: “Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 7am and 7.30am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaÃ.”
