One person has died and three people have been sent to hospital after a crash in Calgary’s northeast Monday morning, EMS tell 660 NewsRadio.

It happened at the intersection of 52 Street and 32 Avenue NE around 5:15 a.m.

Both directions of 52 Street NE between 32 Avenue NE and Temple Drive NE are closed to traffic to allow for an investigation.

Temple resident Ed Koelle, says he was getting ready for work when he heard an awful noise.

“The sound didn’t stop — you heard a crash, crinkling for about five to 10 seconds — it just continued. I thought it was in front of my house, well, it was in front of my house,” he told 660 NewsRadio.

“I’m still shaking.”

This is a developing story.
