The event is to take place on 20 September in Pierremont Park, between 11:00 BST and 17:00.

Organisers said the market relied as much on the support of local people and businesses, as on the young stallholders.

Councillor Ruth Duckworth, cabinet member for regeneration and growth at Thanet District Council, said: “I’m so pleased that the Teenage Market is making its first appearance in Broadstairs.

“The Teenage Market events are going from strength to strength, with markets in all three main towns in Thanet.”

The Teenage Market is funded and hosted by Thanet District Council as part of the UK Shared Prosperity Funding, with support from Broadstairs and St Peter’s Town Council, East Kent Colleges Group and Harvey Waste.

Another Teenage Market is planned for Margate in November.
