When it comes to the topic of West Bank annexation, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is careful not to support or object to Israeli moves to annex parts of the territory. When asked about the possibility in a press conference on Thursday, he answered that he had warned Western countries that if they recognized a Palestinian state, “there’s going to be a response from Israel.”
