Prince William and Kate Middleton gave rare insight about their kids’ home lives in new appearances. And, apparently, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7, are more alike than we thought!

At the national federation of the Women’s Institute (WI) in Sunningdale, Ascot, on Sept. 8, Prince William opened up about life at home. In the most relatable news, he was asked if his kids, including daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, were back at school now, and he responded, “Thankfully, yes,” per Hello! Seriously, summer break is hard for every parent, even royals!

Later, someone asked if Louis was “a bit of a handful”? If you’ve seen his silly faces and hilarious antics at public appearances throughout the years, then you know the answer is likely yes. However, Prince William said that through it all, Prince Louis is a good kid.

“He’s a character, but he’s a very good boy,” William responded, adding that his youngest son “likes to run his sister around.” As little brothers tend to do!

Later, William shared that while Prince George seems more reserved in public, there is “five years between [George and Louis.]” But like many kids, Prince George lets his adorably silly self out in the safety of his own home. “Behind closed doors it’s a completely different ball game,” Prince William said. If you’ve ever seen your kid on their best behavior in public, only for them to have meltdowns at home, then you know exactly what Prince William is talking about here.

Elsewhere during the appearance, Princess Kate said that her kids have been “crafting in every corner of the house” over the summer break. It sounds like my house this summer, honestly!

The fact that the royal siblings seem to have normal childhoods is no coincidence. Since the beginning, the Waleses have done their best to give their kids a well-adjusted upbringing. Royal biographer Robert Hardman recently told PEOPLE, “William takes his role as father of the future King as seriously as he takes his role as future King. That’s key. His overarching priority is making sure they enjoy it rather than fear it.”

Another royal insider told the outlet, “He is the most normal 12-year-old future monarch we have ever had. And that is a very good thing.”

That’s definitely going to make him a wonderful leader one day!
