Dozens of volunteers in New Prague were searching for Logan Sampson after he left his home early Sunday.

NEW PRAGUE, Minn — The search for a missing 24-year-old New Prague man has ended after police say they found a body Tuesday morning.

Dozens of volunteers in New Prague were searching for Logan Sampson after he left his home early Sunday. He was last seen around 4 a.m. letting his dog out on surveillance video, according to the family. They found his phone at home on Monday.

In a press release, New Prague Police said the body was found in a field in New Prague at around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, adding that they believe it is Sampson; however, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner will make the official identification and determine the cause of death.

Family members say he recently got into a running club, but he has been struggling with seizures. He had his first seizure a little over a month ago. His sister says it made him disoriented, and he experienced memory loss.

“He’s the classic little brother, we tease each other but are close,” sister, Haley Sampson, said.

Family and friends organized the search party on Tuesday morning. People came from across the state, including Lakeville, where Sampson grew up and went to school.

“He’s always been really good, and he’s got a big heart. He has a lot of friends, as you can see by everyone here who came to help look for him,” Rob Sampson, Logan’s dad, said.
