Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store is starting talks on Tuesday to form a new Labor government after his election win.

The center-left bloc took 87 seats — a slim majority in the 169-member legislature — with Store stemming 16 years of consecutive decline in Labor support. The tight race electrified voters, with turnout rising to 78.9%, the highest level since 1989, according to preliminary data from the Norwegian Directorate of Elections.
