After over forty years in the industry, Hunter Tylo became one of the most recognizable faces of daytime television with her portrayal of Dr. Taylor Hayes on the world-renowned soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Now the actress has announced that she is working on an autobiography detailing her life and the wild ride of working in the soap opera genre.
Tylo made another appearance today on The Unexpected Cosmology podcast, where she has appeared numerous times, and the actress was answering the burning questions that the podcast viewers had. During this interview she announced that she, along with The Unexpected Cosmology host Noel Hadley, were working on her next book.
The fan favorite actress explained that her original book, Making a Miracle,was released by Simon & Schuster and due to her actively working on The Bold and the Beautiful she had to leave a lot of stories and context out to protect those around her.
Tylo shared, “So, I had to leave a lot of stuff out about things that were really going on there. I had to leave a lot of stuff out about what was going on in my marriage that were real life problems.” She continues to explain how her new book would be giving context to some of the stories that her fans had previously heard. “When you hear some of the stories that were in that book, then you hear what I was really dealing with on the set of The Bold and the Beautiful and the movie business in general and my family life at home, now these stories will make sense to you.”
Fans may wonder what the title of the upcoming memoir might be, but Tylo shared, “I have not totally come up with the title yet. It should be interesting.” The actress also shared she plans to take new cover photos to promote the book as well.
The actress promised fans that this would be a more truthful recounting of her life, sharing, “But this will be extremely detailed. The book that I’m writing will be more truthful. It will not be candy-coated and it will not be there to glorify The Bold and the Beautiful, or the business that this is just going to be the real truth.”
What was Tylo’s role on the Bold and the Beautiful?
Hunter Tylo portrayed the role of Dr. Taylor Hayes off and on the soap opera from 1990-2019. The character was at the center of a front burner romantic triangle between Ridge (Ronn Moss/Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Her character had three children on the show, Steffy, Phoebe, and Thomas.
In addition to her love-affair with Ridge, she also dated Ridge’s brother Thorne, and his father Eric, along with numerous other suitors over the years.
Tylo’s role has since been recast, first by Krista Allen, and is currently being portrayed by Rebecca Budig.
