SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A death investigation is underway after a body was discovered inside a vehicle at a tow lot in South Los Angeles.
The discovery was made at Al’s Towing on St. Andrews Place on Tuesday.
AIR7 video shows tents set up over a Honda sedan parked in the tow yard. It appeared the back of the car had been burned.
The Los Angeles Police Department said it is investigating the discovery.
It is unclear when or why the car was brought to the tow yard.

On Monday, a similar discovery was made at a different tow yard in Hollywood, where human remains were found inside an impounded Tesla.

LAPD is investigating after a body was found inside an impounded Tesla that’s registered to singer D4vd, Eyewitness News has learned.
Eyewitness News learned the vehicle is registered to singer D4vd.
Officers responded to the 1000 block of N. Mansfield Avenue shortly before 12:30 p.m. Monday to a report of a foul odor coming from an impounded vehicle, according to LAPD.
Authorities said human remains were found in the front trunk of the Tesla, which is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
Police said the impounded car had been at the property for a couple of days, and that the body had been placed inside a bag. There’s no immediate information about the identity of the person found inside the Tesla.
At last check, D4vd, nor his team had released any comment on the investigation, though he has limited comments on his social posts. The 20-year-old musician from Houston is currently on his “Withered” world tour. The tour stops in Los Angeles on Sept. 20.
There is no evidence that the two bodies found in Hollywood and South Los Angeles are connected.
