Israel’s High Court of Justice ruled on Sunday that the state must ensure minimum levels of food for Palestinian security prisoners in Israeli jails. The ruling was a response to a petition submitted by two Israeli human rights groups, the Association for Civil Rights in Israel and Gisha – Legal Center for Freedom of Movement, in April 2024, following mounting evidence of torture, abuse and starvation.
