Donegal’s Masters footballers were heavily defeated by Tyrone in the All-Ireland Masters Football Final this afternoon.
After a dramatic Semi-Final Replay win over Sligo, Donegal earned the right to face their North-West rivals in the decider.
However the Red Hand County were dominant in today’s Final, held at the Breffni Park in Cavan.
Three first-half goals had Tyrone well on their way to securing their fifth All-Ireland Masters title in a row.
Despite a better showing from Donegal in the second half, including a Brendan Boyle goal, Tyrone proved to be unstoppable.
The final score was Donegal 1-9, Tyrone 5-10.
