Three pedestrians along with a driver are in the hospital following a collision in North York on Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened in the Willowdale neighburhood, near Yonge Street and Churchill Avenue, south of Finch Avenue.

Toronto police say they were called to that area just before 3:30 p.m. for reports of multiple pedestrians struck by a vehicle.

There, officers lcated who had been injured. They were taken to the hospital via trauma run.

The driver of the vehicle, who remained on scene, was also hurt and transported to the hospital, they said.

Toronto paramedics said they responded that that area at 3:25 p.m. and transported four adult patients to the hospital.

Three were taken to a trauma centre: two in critical condition and one with serious injuries, while a fourth patient was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, they said.

Currently, Yonge is closed between Northtown Way and McKee Avenue, while Churchill is closed from Canterbury Place to Yonge as police investigate. Church Avenue is also closed between Yonge and Doris Avenue due to the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.
