Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a fatal single vehicle collision outside Tralee.

The incident took place on the N69 at Ballingowan, around 10.20 this morning, near the roundabout at Ballygarry.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The local Coroner has been notified and the deceased will be taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted.

Local diversions are in place to facilitate a technical examination by the Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this collision to come forward, particularly those with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings.
