Three female teenagers remain in a serious condition in hospital after a single vehicle crash that occurred at Carrigroe in Tinahely, County Wicklow, late on Saturday night.
The vehicle collided with a ditch and overturned at approximately 11.30pm. The male driver, aged in his late teens, was uninjured, while three teenage female passengers received serious injuries and were removed from the scene to Tallaght University Hospital and St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Three other passengers were not injured.
Gardaí, who had closed the road and put local diversions in place, are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10pm and 11.45pm on Saturday, September 13, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Baltinglass Garda Station on 059 648 2610, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.”
