Italian rapper Fedez under fire for vile Jannik Sinner comparison on new song.
Italian rapper and entertainer Fedez has found himself in hot water after teasing a new song on Instagram.
In a post on the artist’s story (seen below), he takes an unprovoked shot at Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner, comparing him to Adolf Hitler.
The screenshot shared to Fedez’s story shows what appears to be a verse to an upcoming song. At the end of the verse, the rapper can be seen mentioning Sinner just one line before Hitler.
Various translation tools yield similar results, all of which appear equally as vile:
The line in Italian reads: “L’italiano ha un nuovo idolo si chiama Jannik Sinner. Purosangue italiano con l’accento di Adolf Hitler.”
CoPilot translates the lines to: “Italy has a new idol, his name is Jannik Sinner. A purebred Italian with Adolf Hitler’s accent.”
While Google Translate translates the lines to: “Italians have a new idol, his name is Jannik Sinner, a purebred Italian with the accent of Adolf Hitler.”

The lines appears to be in reference to the fact that Sinner grew up speaking German because of his upbringing in South Tyrol, a German-speaking province in Northern Italy.
Tennis Fans Take Aim at Fedez For Vile Jannik Sinner Line
Once the screenshots of Fedez’s new verse, tennis fans unloaded on the artist:
One wrote: “Italy’s most idiotic entertainer, rapper Fedez, comparing Sinner to Hitler because of his accent, only gains further ammunition to paint the Tyrolean tennis player as a victim of haters. If he’d described him as doped, he might have been brave, but certainly not so.”
Another wrote, in Italian: “Every victory of #Sinner is an anthem to talent. And a cruel reminder for those who, like @Fedez, have their lives selling trash with autotune, convinced it was art.”
Another fan added, in Italian: “I would like to tell Fedez that Sinner is a champion. He has talent. He is polite. He is elegant and speaks three languages fluently.”
As one fan wrote: “Sorry I don’t even go here but that whole Fedez/Sinner thing pisses me off so bad for so many reasons.”
Another Italian fan added: “I didn’t just read what Fedez wrote about Sinner. We are a s***ty country because we allowed Fedez to become famous without knowing how to do a damn thing.”
Sinner Set For Return in China Following US Open Defeat
While the tennis community defends Jannik Sinner and criticizes Fedez, the former world No. 1 is preparing for the ATP 500 China Open next week.
While new world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is heading to Tokyo for the Kinoshita Group Japan Open, Sinner will be heading to Beijing, where he hopes to win his second tournament title.
Last year, Sinner came up short in his quest to go back-to-back in Beijing, falling to Carlos Alcaraz after a straight-set win over Daniil Medvedev in 2023.
As Sinner indicated to members of the press following his US Open loss to Alcaraz, he plans to make some small tweaks to his serve, and his game, going forward.
Whether any of those changes are on full display when the Italian star touches down in Beijing, only time will tell.
