Hugo Keenan set to miss first half of season as Joe McCarthy and Caelan Doris in race to be fit for All Blacks

Hugo Keenan will miss the first half of the upcoming season after undergoing hip surgery after the Lions tour this summer.

The injury rules the full-back, who scored the winning try of the series decider in Melbourne in July, out of Ireland’s November series, with Caelan Doris and Joe McCarthy also in a battle to get back in time for the clash with New Zealand in Chicago on November 1.
