Third daily flights from Dublin to New York and Boston are also on the way next summer

Aer Lingus will soon fly to North Carolina
Aer Lingus will fly from Dublin Airport to Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina from next April, bringing its total number of North American routes to 26.
Next summer sees its largest-ever transatlantic schedule, with expansions to its long-haul network including a third daily flight from Dublin to both New York JFK and Boston, and a daily summer service from Dublin to Orlando.
The year-round route to North Carolina will take off from April 13, and operate up to five times weekly on the single-aisle Airbus A321 XLR aircraft.
It follows the launch of several new transatlantic routes, including Indianapolis and Nashville – which will both increase from four to five weekly flights next summer.
The growth is part of Aer Lingus’s strategy to grow Dublin Airport as a hub for connecting passengers, as well as for transatlantic travel, and makes use of an expanding fleet of A321 XLRs as well as its larger, wide-body A330s.

The new route connecting Dublin to Raleigh and Durham taps commercial markets as well as tourism potential, and will be up and running in time to serve fans from the University of North Carolina (UNC) travelling to the 2026 Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin next August.
UNC will take on Texas Christian University (TCU) in the opening weekend of the NCAA college football season.
“Dublin is a high-demand international destination for travellers from the Research Triangle region, and we are proud that Aer Lingus has chosen RDU for this nonstop service,” said Michael Landguth, President and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority.
Fares on the new Raleigh-Durham route start from €299 each-way, and frequency will drop from five to four weekly flights in winter.
