Two men are facing charges after a man was stabbed and seriously injured during a car sale in Brampton earlier this year.

Peel police said a man selling his Dodge Challenger on Facebook Marketplace met with two people on May 10 for a test drive.

During that time, one suspect allegedly brandished an edged weapon and threatened the seller.

Police said when he refused to get out of the vehicle, the suspect stabbed the man in the throat.

The two suspects subsequently fled in the Dodge, leaving the victim with serious injuries, police said. The man was later taken to a trauma centre for treatment.

Police said the victim’s vehicle was recovered by Windsor Police Service the next day.

Last week, investigators arrested 22-year-old Simranjeet Singh and 20-year-old Parteek Ehitaan, both from Windsor.

They have been charged with attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-453-2121 ext. 3410 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
