A 23-year-old man has been sent forward for trial over a disturbance in central Dublin five years ago.
Clinton Darcy, with an address in Gardiner Street, Dublin 1, was charged with violent disorder by using or threatening to use violence with two females, at on September 13, 2020 in the Bachelor’s Walk area.
He also had an additional charge for possessing a stolen backpack.
He appeared before Judge Michele Finan at Dublin District Court.

She noted the Director of Public Prosecutions directed that he face trial on indictment and she granted and order sending his case forward to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court where the case will be listed for mention on November 11.
She told him to notify prosecutors if he intends to use an alibi in his defence and also ordered gardai to provide the defence with copies of interview videos. Legal aid was granted.
