A man has been charged in relation to a fatal hit-and-run incident in Co Meath last week.
The collision took place on the R156 near Boardsmill National School in the townland of Batterstown at around 9.50am last Friday morning.
Ned McLoughlin was found unresponsive following the incident
He was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle involved failed to remain at the scene.
He has since been charged, and is due to appear at Trim District Court this morning.
