Maple Leafs Practice Report: 1st of the season

Hockey season is now back with the first Leafs practice of training camp. There were two main groups on the ice today out of the 73 on the roster.

The groups are evenly split with the Matthews line in one, the Tavares in the other, something that’s been the case in every camp since Tavares arrived on the team.

In the lines below that level are hints of the bottom six to come once the roster is culled of its excess. Nic Roy and Dakota Joshua seem like a pair a line will be structured around, and Scott Laughton and Steven Lorentz are the other pair.

It’s a four winger question to be answered, not just two.
