A longtime Victoria radio host is facing charges of child luring, according to the BC Prosecution Service.
CFAX 1070 host Al Ferraby was arrested and is now being charged with two counts of internet luring.
The Vancouver Police Department’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit says it initiated an investigation in September 2024, which led to the arrest of the 59-year-old in February.
In response to a request for a statement, a Bell Media spokesperson said, “We are aware of the charges and can confirm that he has been suspended, pending a police investigation. We have no further comment at this time.”
Ferraby has been with CFAX since 1994.
He has been released from police custody.
None of the charges have been proven in court.
