Lewis Hamilton ended the opening day of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix on top after going fastest in second practice.
It was a rare Ferrari one-two on the FP2 timesheets, with Hamilton having set the pace on a 1m 41.293 – quicker than last year’s pole lap at the Baku City Circuit.
Charles Leclerc found himself just 0.074s adrift of the seven-time world champion, as George Russell, Kimi Antonelli and Haas’ Oliver Bearman completing the top five.
McLaren suffered a messy session which saw Lando Norris miss most of the final 30 minutes, due to a collision with a wall which broke his rear suspension. Norris ended the session 10th, ahead of Oscar Piastri in 12th.
