US President’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Whitcoff, is making his way to the region. This was announced by State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce during a press briefing. Whitcoff is considered a key figure in negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding a ceasefire agreement and hostage deal in the Gaza Strip, and his arrival to the Middle East is viewed as the most reliable indication of progress in the talks. “In my conversation with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he noted that envoy Whitcoff is now heading to the Gaza area,” Bruce said during the briefing.
