York police are searching for a suspect who set an SUV on fire in a Vaughan driveway before firing several shots at the vehicle.
Police in York Region have released video showing the moment a suspect set an SUV parked in the driveway of a home in Vaughan on fire on Wednesday.
The incident occurred at a residence in the area of Forest Heights Boulevard and Highway 27 shortly before 7 p.m.

In the video, a man wearing dark clothing takes a jerrycan out of a red bag and douses the SUV with what appears to be an accelerant. Seconds later, the suspect set the vehicle on fire, causing a small explosion.
The suspect then walks away as the SUV is engulfed in flames. The suspect vehicle, which police identified as a 2022 Honda Civic, is also seen on camera.

The suspect is described as standing five-foot-10 and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants, black running shoes with white soles and grey gloves.
