Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2 has been evacuated following a security alert.

Airport operator daa said flight operations may be temporarily impacted.

The alert was raised at 11.30am. All passengers in Terminal 2 have been evacuated.

In a statement, it confirmed the terminal has been “evacuated as a precautionary measure”.

“The safety and security of our passengers and staff is our absolute priority,” it said.

Gardaí are currently at the scene.

Daa said passengers are being directed to designated assembly points and asked people to follow the instructions of airport staff.

It said: “flight operations may be temporarily impacted” and advised passengers to check with their airlines for the latest updates.

“We will provide further information as soon as it becomes available. We thank passengers for their patience and cooperation,” daa added.
