Waterford City and County Council nominates Independent Councillor Kieran McCarthy at Presidential Election Special Meeting

Following presentations from 11 candidates at Waterford City and County Council’s Presidential Election Special Meeting on Friday, September 19th, former Lord Mayor of Cork, Cllr. Kieran McCarthy has received the Presidential Candidate nomination from Waterford.

Proposed by Cllr. Joe O’ Riordan and seconded by Cllr. Joe Kelly, the Cork city councillor received 11 votes for, 10 against with 5 abstentions.
