National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir addressed the recognition of a Palestinian state by the governments of Britain, Canada and Australia, saying it is “a prize for the murderers of the hostages” and “requires immediate counter measures: immediate application of sovereignty in Judea and Samaria and complete dismantling of the Palestinian Authority.” The minister said he intends “to submit a proposal for applying sovereignty at the next government meeting.” Culture and Sports Minister Miki Zohar also called for applying sovereignty in the West Bank. The Yesha Council announced that following the declarations by these countries, the council heads are convening for an emergency discussion.
