A 24-year-old driver is dead after a crash in Wellesley Township on Sunday morning.
It was shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday when Waterloo Regional Police were called to that crash on Weimar Line near Maplewood Drive, just outside of Waterloo’s Erbsville neighbourhood.
Investigators said a driver’s vehicle left the road, then caught fire.
The young driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash had a lengthy, ten hour closure in place on Weimar Line between Moser Young Road and Maplewood Drive.
The investigation is still underway, with police asking any witnesses to come forward.
