One of the most popular Irish television offerings in recent memory is set to draw to a close this week, with the finale of the first season of The Traitors Ireland set to air on RTÉ on Tuesday evening.

The Irish edition of the international smash hit show has proven to be a massive success, featuring no shortage of drama in recent weeks. Whether it’s the cursing, the backstabbing, or just Paudie being Paudie, viewers have been treated to plenty of exciting moments.

That continued in Sunday night’s episode of The Traitors Ireland, which featured a very fraught roundtable.

RTÉ Footage Settles Debate About Controversial Incident In The Traitors Ireland

There was a dramatic ending to last night’s episode of The Traitors Ireland, with tensions running high during the roundtable.

It was clear that the other players had zeroed in on Joanna for banishment, with fellow players accusing her of lying about interactions she claimed to have in the days prior.

One particular point of contention was an apparent exchange she had with Oyen at a previous roundtable. Joanna claimed that Oyen had spoken to her about voting for Faye, something Oyen completely denied ahead of last night’s vote.

The claim that Joanna had lied about this incident played a big part in her eventually being voted out.

However, footage shared by RTÉ on social media showed that such an interaction did actually take place.

Oyen lying about this incident is a bit bizarre, although she genuinely could have forgotten that it took place.

Joanna was clearly unhappy with the way she had been treated by some of her fellow players, going on to call out the ‘mean girls’ that she felt had brought about her elimination.

It was certainly a dramatic ending to the episode.

You get the feeling that this will not be the last of the drama ahead of the final two episodes of The Traitors Ireland over the next couple of days.
