Red Bull Racing has officially confirmed the departure of Christian Horner from the team after 20 years in charge.
Horner was sacked on July 9th as team principal and CEO, but was only removed from operational duties, meaning his last race trackside with the team was the British Grand Prix on July 6th.

Ferrari to launch Charles Leclerc investigation after unseen Azerbaijan problem
Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur has confirmed the team is going to launch an investigation into an engine problem for Charles Leclerc in Azerbaijan.
Starting 10th after crashing in qualifying, Leclerc was initially fighting with Lando Norris and Liam Lawson, but was unable to find a way past Lawson after their pit-stops, as team-mate Lewis Hamilton was waved past after running a contra-strategy to see if he could get past the cars ahead.

Carlos Sainz quickly shut down a comparison to Lewis Hamilton after his Azerbaijan Grand Prix podium regarding his Ferrari replacement.
Sainz started second and finished third in Baku to record Williams’ first podium since George Russell’s second in the aborted 2021 Belgian GP, and first in a fully completed race since Lance Stroll’s third eight years ago in the 2017 Azerbaijan race.

Isack Hadjar was left “pissed off” at himself following a costly mistake in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, which left him the lowest Red Bull-backed driver.
Starting from eighth, Hadjar made a good start and passed the McLaren of Lando Norris on the opening lap, before a safety car for Oscar Piastri’s crash.

Lando Norris conceded he and Oscar Piastri were ‘bitten by Baku’, underlining the fact their seemingly two-way F1 drivers’ title fight cannot be taken for granted.
Championship leader Piastri suffered a horrendous weekend in Azerbaijan, crashing in qualifying and the race, albeit suffering minimal damage to his advantage in the standings as Norris also struggled.
