Givati officer severely wounded in exchange of fire with Hamas militants in Gaza

An IDF officer was severely wounded in an exchange of fire with militants at close range in Gaza City. According to the IDF spokesperson, who described that “during combat in Gaza City, IDF forces quickly identified an armed militant cell that fired toward them. The force conducted ground searches and after a short and precise pursuit, eliminated the armed militant cell in face-to-face gunfire. A combat officer from the Shaked Battalion, Givati Brigade, was severely wounded in the battle. He was evacuated for medical treatment at the hospital and his family has been updated.”
