Montrezl Harrell has taken to social media to respond to rumours he will part ways with the Adelaide 36ers.
Harrell has reportedly “faced complications following a doping violation he was found guilty of while playing in China in the off-season”, according to an article from ESPN’s Olgun Uluc, with the club unable to navigate through the situation.
The 31-year-old responded soon after that news dropped.
“Wish I knew the truth in what actually happened! I played in Puerto Rico but hey idk (I don’t know) rules!,” Harrell tweeted.
“Like I understand fail a drug test! I get what the test showed! What I get lost is on the doping part! Because doping is (a) rule on taking a drug to increase or gain an edge in competition use! I know damn well I had zero of anything like that in me so again doping???”

Harrell signed off by thanking NBL fans for their support.
“Much love for all the Australian fans man I truly appreciate and love the support and energy y’all gave to me! Made me fall in love with hoops again last year in a dark time! Will always be grateful for that!,” he said.
The club is yet to comment on Harrell’s potential departure.
