The seized drugs
A man has been arrested as Revenue officers seized cannabis worth an estimated €380,000 in Dublin today.
Revenue officers seized approximately 19kgs of suspected herbal cannabis in West Dublin as part of an intelligence-led joint operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Drug Unit Serious Crime South and Revenue’s Customs Service.
The seized drugs
The drugs seized are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.
One male (aged in his 40’s) was arrested by An Garda Síochána in connection with the investigation, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in the Dublin City area, pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
