A local resident is facing charges after reportedly pulling down his pants and exposing himself to bystanders at a city park

Sault police officers charged a 60-year-old man who was accused of exposing his genitals in a public park yesterday.

At around 6:15 p.m., 911 communicators received multiple reports of someone exposing their genitals in the area of James Street and Albert Street West.

“An investigation revealed the accused had their pants down at a public park and was intentionally exposing their genitals in the presence of multiple children and adults.”

He was arrested.

Maurice Coombs is charged with indecent exhibition. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Coombs was also charged earlier this month after he was accused of intentionally touching a victim, who he did not know, without their consent.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Coombs is considered innocent until proven guilty.
