Charges are expected to be laid after a crash involving a horse carriage in Wellesley Township that sent two teen boys to hospital.

Waterloo regional police were called out to Manser Road just outside of Crosshill shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A Ford vehicle and a horse carriage reportedly collided.

Manser Road was closed between William Hastings Line and Schummer Line for the investigation.

The 20-year-old driver from Millbank suffered minor injuries, while the two teen boys in the carriage involved in that crash had to be sent to the hospital with serious injuries.

Those teens have since been identified as a 16-year-old and a 19-year-old.

The investigation is still underway.

Police said they do expected to lay charges.
