President Donald Trump urged Turkey to curb energy imports from Russia, warning that US sales of stealth fighter jets to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization ally depend on Ankara’s support for American goals.

Trump described his meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday as “conclusive,” saying he might consider bringing Turkey back into the joint program to produce and purchase Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 fighter jets. He also pressed Erdogan to do more to persuade the Kremlin to end its war in Ukraine.
