At least six Starbucks in Tucson set to close Sunday

  • September 26, 2025

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – 13 News has learned that at least six Starbucks in Tucson will close for good this weekend.

The news comes the same day the company announced 900 “non-retail employees” would be laid off, and stores across the U.S. and Canada would be shuttered.

13 News called the following stores in Tucson, and an employee at each confirmed that the location would close on Sunday. Those stores are:

910 East Speedway Boulevard4202 East 22nd Street 6960 East 22nd Street 2350 North Campbell Avenue3700 South Sixth Avenue802804 East University Boulevard

We were also told that at least one other Tucson location will close, but we have not been able to confirm.

13 News reached out to Starbucks for confirmation, but the company declined to release the list of affected stores.

The company did say that a closing store will have signage up, and an email will be sent to customers.

In a letter sent on Thursday, Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol said many locations were “falling short of financial performance targets or are failing to create the environment customers expect.”
