Day returns at the expense of Finn Maginness, whose lacerated kidney will unfortunately cost him the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, key forward Mabior Chol remains absent due to the groin injury that kept him out of last Saturday’s win over Port Adelaide.
Spearhead forward Harry McKay returns to Carlton’s lineup alongside midfielder Blake Acres, who has been recalled by Voss’ match committee after being omitted in Round 18.
McKay, who has recovered from his knee injury, hasn’t played since Round 11.
They come in at the expense of the injured Flynn Young (sprained foot) and Francis Evans (concussion), with the retiring Sam Docherty set to make his 184th and final AFL appearance.
Teams and squads for the remaining eight matches will be released at 6:20pm AEST on Thursday evening.
