The constant drama surrounding Prince Andrew and Prince Harry has sparked a power struggle between Prince William and King Charles III, a source tells Examiner.

“He hates how his father is handling both those situations and has said so more times than he can count,” says the source.

“Charles’ answer is always the same: These are his decisions and it’s not for William to question the King’s judgment,” adds the source.

Charles, 76, met with Harry, 41, on his last trip to the U.K., signaling his openness to reconciliation. The king also hasn’t been able to evict his disgraced younger brother, 65, from the Royal Lodge despite widespread outrage over Andrew’s behavior.

The future king, 43, is planning to be much less forgiving during his own reign, says the source: “It’s one of the big reasons why they’re not seeing eye to eye right now, because Charles knows William is likely to rip so much up down the line.”

Some royal courtiers “believe he is bulldozing his way through life at the moment and that he needs to sit back and show more respect for his father,” adds the source.

“Others have immense sympathy because he’s clearly trying to help the monarchy avoid making any more embarrassing errors of judgment,” continues the source, noting that William — who recently called 2024 the “hardest year I’ve ever had” — has been under an enormous amount of stress.

“Either way,” adds the source, “it’s making for a colossal amount of tension behind the scenes.”
