This week, several major retailers have issued product recalls. Items include popular food items from Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, beef mince from IGA, and more.
Consumer who have purchased these items are entitled to a refund. But more importantly, some pose the risk of serious injury or illness and buyers should be aware of the dangers.
Yahoo Lifestyle has complied a list of all the major recalls issued by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) and Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) this week so Australians can check their homes for the potentially dangerous goods.

Officeworks is conducting a recall on its Otto Marstrand Straight desk, which has an oak-coloured desktop and white panels.
The ACCC is concerned people could be injured using it.
“Applying sideways force to the desk legs through moving the desk, may cause the legs to detach from the desktop, leading to collapse of the desk,” the ACCC said.
Consumers should stop using the desk and are urged to disassemble it before returning the product to their nearest Officeworks for a full refund.
The product was available for purchase between May 1, 2025, and August 15, 2025.
W Cosmetics: Various Cosmetic and skincare products
W Cosmetics has issued a recall for several products as their labels do not meet the mandatory standard for cosmetics ingredients labelling, as they are not written in English.
According to the ACCC, there is a risk that consumers may experience an allergic reaction as they are unable to identify which ingredients are in the product.
This also makes it harder to work out the possible cause and seek appropriate treatment.
Consumers are urged to stop using the products immediately and contact W Cosmetics to arrange a free return and full refund.
They will send a pre-paid return label for consumers to return the products.
If you have gifted the products to someone else or are unable to return, contact W Cosmetics on cs@wcosmetics.com.au or call them on 0416 699 666.
