A male has died following a single-vehicle collision in Milton on Saturday morning.
The crash happened on Lower Base Line, just east of Tremaine Road, which is between Highway 407 and Brittania Road and between Highway 25 and Appleby Line.
Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) said they were called to that area at 6:50 a.m. for report of a single-vehicle collision.
Investigators said a red Ford pickup truck was heading eastbound on Lower Base Line when it left the roadway, hitting a concrete retaining overpass wall.
At the scene, officers found a lone male occupant in the vehicle with critical injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later, they said.
“No other vehicles were believed to be involved in the incident,” HRPS said in a release.
The collision reconstruction unit attended the scene.
