CHELAN COUNTY, Wash — The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 3 fire evacuation for the Cashmere area, specifically affecting Mission Creek Road south of Sand Creek, county officials said on Saturday.
Residents are urged to “leave now” as current conditions pose a specific and immediate threat to life and safety, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.
Tillicum Riders, 6204 Kimber Road, is accepting large animals and livestock at the Chelan County Fairgrounds & Expo Center in Cashmere, according to fire officials.
Anyone who needs help with livestock animal care is urged to call Animal Care & Control Dispatch at 509-888-7283, according to Chelan County Emergency Management officials.
A community meeting will be held today at 6:00 pm on Saturday at Cashmere Middle School, according to fire officials.
Authorities advise monitoring local radio stations, the Chelan County Emergency Management Facebook page, or the Chelan County Incident Map for updates.
Firefighters are currently working to protect structures in both Kittitas County and Chelan County communities, according to wildfire officials.
Fire crews plan to be present to monitor the fire’s movement throughout Saturday night, fire officials said.
