Travellers passing through Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga on Sunday could experience delays going through customs, airport officials say.
The Canada Border Services Agency’s primary inspection kiosks inside terminals 1 and 3 “are currently experiencing a service interruption,” Pearson officials said early Sunday afternoon.
As a result, officials at Canada’s biggest and busiest airport say passengers may experience longer-than-normal wait times at customs.
The Canada Border Services Agency is the federal law enforcement agency responsible for border control, immigration enforcement and customs services at airports in addition to other locations.
Toronto Pearson officials said earlier this past week they expect the airport terminals to be a little less busy these days “as we enter the shoulder season — the period between our summer and winter travel peaks.”
