Matildas star Mary Fowler has swapped the football pitch for the catwalk, making her runway debut at Paris Fashion Week.

The 22-year-old became the first professional footballer to walk in the prestigious Défilé L’Oréal Paris show at the Hotel de Ville on Tuesday (AEST).

Fowler, a L’Oréal Paris ambassador since 2024, walked alongside global brand ambassadors including Kendall Jenner, Jane Fonda, Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Gillian Anderson and Helen Mirren.

The Manchester City striker wore a one-sleeved black suit dress and heels.

Earlier this month, Fowler said she was honoured to be the first footballer to walk in the show.

“This will be my first time walking a runway, and while it’s a little outside of my comfort zone, the opportunity to walk alongside extraordinary women in a celebration of women’s empowerment, inclusion, and sisterhood is truly inspiring,” she said.
